3
XML based query syntax
4

5

6 This module contains:
7

8
a modular Lucene Query Parser where queries are expressed as XML

9
JUnit test

10
DTD schemas and generated documentation

11
Example XML queries

12
Test index (subset of Reuters 21578)

13

14

15

16 The original motivation for creating this package was outlined and discussed here.
17

18

19 Parser support includes:
20

21
"Span" queries

22
Simple caching for filters

23
"Like this" queries

24
Boolean, Term, and UserInput (parsed with existing query parser)

25
BoostingQuery - a class that can downgrade scores for hits on
26 certain terms rather than the hard-line approach taken by BooleanClause.Occurs.MUST_NOT

27
FilteredQuery, RangeFilter, DuplicateFilter and "TermsFilter" for non-sequential terms

28
"FuzzyLikeThis" a new query which is a cross between "LikeThis" and "fuzzy" but with
29 better scoring of fuzzy terms than standard fuzzy queries

30
A modular design with expandable support for new query/filter types

31

32

33
This code is dependent on the "queries" module although the "CoreParser" can be compiled with just Lucene core if required
